INTRODUCTION

LOU RIOU is the commercial entity used to promote « l’œuvre St-Jeannaise » (l’O.S.J), the officially recognised non-profitable organisation which ‘serves the public good’, the registered head office is located Rue des écoles 26910 St-Jean en Royans,
France.

In order to use and benefit from the services promoted by ‘l’œuvre St-Jeannaise’ (l’OS.J.), every participant should voluntarily
subscribe as a member to the association. The reservation of a stay at LOU RIOU implicates your acceptance of our terms and
conditions set-out below:

1. LIABILITY OF L’O.S.J.

The O.S.J. declines all liability in case of an amendment to your stay or programmed activities and services due to major risks:
strikes, insufficient inscriptions for the period. If Lou Riou’s personal liability is challenged the individual claim can under no circumstances exceed the full amount detailed on the invoice for the stay in question.

If in the case of a liability complaint against l’O.S.J. the claim can in no circumstances exceed the amount invoiced to the client

2. LENGTH OF STAY

The client’s booking, is agreed for a precise length of stay and does not, under any circumstances, authorise an extended stay on the premises over and above the length of the period stated in the contract.

3. LIABILITY OF THE CLIENT/PARTICPANT

Any stay interrupted or cut short, or any unused or unconsumed products and services are non-refundable. Any claim concerning
your stay should be addressed, within a month from the last day of stay, products or services, by registered post to the l’O.S.J’s
head office, the postal date and reception will be taken in account as day 1 of your claim. The O.S.J is under no obligation to reply or deal with a complaint after this date.

4. PRICES

All our prices published in the brochure, on our website, or any other communication action are given for your information and maybe amended -increased, or reduced. The only definitive legally binding price between you and ourselves figures on your booking contract. It is this price which serves as a reference in case of problems or amendments to your booking.

The reduced rate for children is only applicable for a child sharing a room with two paying adults.

5. TOURIST TAX

The tourist tax is a local municipal tax which you, the client, must pay to us. We will transfer the total amount to the ‘Trésor Public’
(local tax office).

6. CANCELLATION / AMENDMENT

a. In case of cancellation or amendment to your booking up to 30 days prior to the contractual arrival date we reserve the right to retain the deposit. Any cancellation or amendment to your booking between 30 days and any time before your arrival the full amount of your reservation: stay, products and services are due and non-refundable.

b. In case of cancellation or a late amendment or no-show on the first contractual day of your stay will incur 100% charge of the full amount of your stay, products or services.

c. It is the client’s sole responsibility to subscribe to a cancellation insurance policy either directly from Lou Riou or from an independent insurance company. Unless informed otherwise Lou Riou will automatically add a cancellation insurance clause to the booking quote.

Please note! Your stay will be considered fully “paid” once your invoice payment has been processed by our accounts department.

As this may take several working days to process please ensure that your final payment reaches us in the agreed time period, this will avoid us having to send you a reminder!

Please note! Cheques (drawn on a French bank account) should be made out to Lou Riou and sent to:
Lou Riou, 130 chemin de la Moutte, 83990 Saint-Tropez.

7. PETS

The booking contract precisely stipulates that pets are forbidden. The management reserves the right to refuse the admission of any pets and in no way can this refusal be considered an amendment or cancellation by the management to your booking. If you decide to cancel your stay, the outstanding balance on your invoice remains due to l’OS.J.

8. ACCOMMODATION AND USE OF THE PREMISES.

We provide your bed and bed linen. Bath and hand towels are provided for your room. Your room is prepared by us for your arrival.

The cleaning during your stay and end-of stay cleaning-up is your responsibility.

All our clients are kindly asked to respect the peace and quiet at Lou Riou and use the communal areas with respect for the enjoyment of the other clients.

9. CAPACITY

Your booking contract is established for an exact number of guests. If you bring extra guests, the management reserves the right to refuse them access to Lou Riou for breach of contract. This refusal can in no way be considered an amendment or a booking cancellation by the management. If you decide to leave Lou Riou and shorten your stay, any monies received by Lou Riou will be non-refundable &/or your booking invoice will remain due.

10. DAMAGES DEPOSIT

You will be asked to pay a damages deposit when you arrive at reception (a cheque drawn on a French bank account or a credit card print) this will returned at the end of your stay, minus any costs for damages incurred or cleaning costs for failure to clean and tidy your room at the end of your stay or any charges incurred during your stay (bar bills, spa centre, excursions and services etc)

11. ARRIVAL / DÉPARTURE

Your room will be ready for check-in from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated with check-out before 10am on the day of your departure.

Full or half-board is counted from the first evening meal to the last breakfast.

If you think you are likely to arrive late, or you have been held-up please inform reception at Lou Riou.

Guests will be asked for proof of identity at check-in. Our guests from overseas will be asked to provide identity card/passport
details.

12. RÉSERVATION AND PAYMENTS

Bookings made by telephone or written reservations (including emails) will not be considered as a firm booking unless they are accompanied by the payment of the full deposit/down payment amount of 30% of the total amount due for your stay.

The final balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival. Failure to pay the final balance 30 days prior to your arrival will result in the automatic cancellation of your booking and the invoicing of our cancellation charges.

Ways to pay: Payments to Lou Riou can be made in cash, by credit card, cheques drawn on a French bank account, holiday cheques issued by ANCV or by bank transfer.

13. CIVIL LIABILITY INSURANCE

All our guests: adults, children, families, groups, organised tour groups, children’s holiday groups etc. are required and undertake to subscribe to an individual insurance policy covering their civil liability« responsabilité civile » which covers you in case of accidents, accidental damage, loss or theft of personal belongings, covering legal protection and assistance during your stay at Lou Riou.

Every guest attests to be covered by a civil liability policy for themselves and the other participants associated to their booking.

14. INVOICES OR QUOTES INCLUDING OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE MUST BE SIGNED AND RETURNED TO:
